How Much Does a Website Cost in Paraguay in 2026?

There are websites that cost half a million guaraníes and others that cost ten million, and either one can be a good deal or a bad purchase. We explain what the price depends on, what costs show up later, and how much we charge.

If you ask in a WhatsApp group how much a website costs, you'll get every answer possible: that it's free, that it costs a hundred dollars, that it costs ten million guaraníes. Everyone is a little bit right, because "website" can mean very different things. What actually helps is knowing what you're buying in each case.

The short answer

A business website has two kinds of costs: what you pay once to build it, and what you pay every year to keep it online. The first depends on how many pages it has, who writes the copy, what features it includes, and how much setup work is behind it. The second depends on the domain, the hosting, the email accounts, and maintenance.

As a reference, our price is fixed: Gs. 2,200,000 to start, in two payments, with the first year of domain, hosting, and two email accounts included, and Gs. 1,500,000 per year from the second year on. The full breakdown of what's included is below.

What you're paying for when you pay for a website

ItemWhat it isHow you pay
DomainThe name: yourbusiness.com.py or yourbusiness.comEvery year
HostingThe server where the site livesEvery year or every month
Design and buildThe structure, the pages, looking good on a phoneOnce
CopyWhat each page saysOnce, if someone writes it for you
PhotosChoosing, cropping, and optimizing themOnce
Google setupSearch Console, sitemap, titles, structured dataOnce
TrackingGoogle Analytics, WhatsApp clicks, Meta pixelOnce
Emailname@yourbusiness.com.pyEvery year
MaintenanceChanges, updates, keeping it from going downEvery year or on request

When two quotes look very different, the gap is almost always in this table: one includes the copy, the setup, and the tracking, and the other is just the design.

The .com.py domain

A .com.py domain is registered at NIC.PY and costs Gs. 150,000 per year, the same to register it as to renew it, plus the payment method's fee. We pay through homebanking and the fee is Gs. 3,300. The full process is in our .com.py guide. A .com is bought from international registrars and paid in dollars.

Hosting

It ranges from very cheap shared plans to dedicated servers. For a business website, what matters is that it loads fast from Paraguay, that it has a security certificate, and that someone looks after it. We explain it in the hosting in Paraguay guide.

The four paths, and what each one costs

Build it yourself with a website builder

Wix, Shopify, Squarespace, and others let you build the page by dragging blocks around. You pay a monthly plan in dollars, which usually includes hosting, and you put in your time. It's the cheapest path in money and the most expensive in hours. It works if you have the time, a good eye, and the willingness to learn what Google needs in order to show you.

A "free" website

Free plans exist, but almost always with the platform's name in your address, someone else's ads, or limited features. That's fine for testing an idea; for a business that wants to be trusted, it usually costs you in image.

A freelancer

One person who designs and builds it. Prices vary a lot depending on experience. It's worth asking who writes the copy, who handles the domain, and what happens if that person isn't around tomorrow.

An agency

More people, more process, and usually a higher price. What you pay extra for should show up in strategy, copy, tracking, and support. If it doesn't show up, you're just paying for the agency's overhead.

The costs that show up later

Often the surprise isn't the price of the website, it's what comes after:

  • The domain renewal. If nobody pays it, the domain expires and the website disappears. Worse still: if the domain was registered under the name of whoever built your page, getting it back can be a problem.
  • Second-year hosting. Some plans start at a promotional price and renew at double.
  • Changes. Updating a price or a photo might be included, or charged separately every time.
  • Updates. A site with a lot of plugins needs someone to keep them updated; if nobody does, one day it stops working or gets hacked.
  • The redesign. A poorly built website usually ends up getting rebuilt within a year or two.

Questions worth asking before you pay

  1. Whose name is the domain registered under? It should be registered under your business's name.
  2. Who writes the copy? If you have to write it yourself, add those hours to the price.
  3. How much does the second year cost, and what does it include?
  4. Are small changes included? How long do they take?
  5. Will the site be set up in Google Search Console, with the sitemap submitted?
  6. Will I be able to see how many people visit and how many tap the WhatsApp button?
  7. What happens if I want to leave for another provider? Do I take everything with me?
  8. Can I see pages they've already built, live?

If any answer sounds vague, ask for it in writing.

Frequently asked questions

Because they aren't the same thing. The difference usually comes down to who writes the copy, how many pages there are, whether it's set up for Google, whether it's tracked, and who maintains it. Compare what each quote includes, not just the final number.

In our package, yes: the first year of domain, hosting, and two email accounts is included, and the domain is registered under your business's name. From the second year on, it's part of the annual payment.

Our starting fee is paid in two parts: half when we begin and half when the published website is delivered.
